Motherhood hasn't been an easy ride for you.
Whether your kiddo got a diagnosis or not, you just know they are different. More intense, less like other kids that you know. But you also know it's not their fault, it's just they way they are wired.
And their feelings? OMG, they are huge. Too huge sometimes.
You've tried a lot already. Maybe you consulted a psychologist, maybe you took them to sensory classes and definitely had dozens of conversations with other adults to try and explain why they are so emotional, so explosive and you've tried all the advice under the sun but things are still really hard.
Because the truth is that you've read the books, tried the techniques and project managed your family life to make it all easier, but sometimes you feel... like you're failing as a mum.
How do I know? Because I've been there too.
I've always known my child was different. And I did everything in my power to accommodate, fix, solve and anticipate problems so we could avoid the explosive meltdowns, the scary shutdowns and anxiety. But he still went into burnout.
And at that point I realised that no matter what I do or how much I know (and believe me when I say that the amount of reading I did on his specific condition and symptoms could grant me a PhD), nothing was going to change it.
Unless... I changed the way I showed up.
I was sick and tired of hearing the advice from people who had 'easy' kids: 'just keep your calm', 'breathe' or 'set firmer boundaries' but I knew there had to be something else that worked for us.
And there was. It was hidden in both our bodies and in the stories I told myself.
I called it the Lioness method, because honestly the way I feel about my motherhood now is close to how a lioness does: she's the calm force, the fiercely loyal protector and ultimately, the leader.
And in this session you'll:

About me
I'm Ola, a somatic coach and nervous system guide for neurodivergent women. I'm ADHD myself and for years I tried to think, research and project-manage my way into an easier family life. I read everything I could find on my son's specific condition (and he's a rare mix of ADHD, ASD and PDA), probably enough to earn a PhD in it. And he still went into autistic burnout anyway.
That was the moment I stopped looking for the next technique and started actually learning how my own nervous system worked, and how much it had been shaping his, just as much as his was shaping mine. What followed changed everything, how I parent, how I work, how I live. My work now combines deep future-focused coaching (Mind) nervous system and somatic principles (Body) and embodied action.

I hold a Level 7 executive coaching qualification and I'm trained in somatic coaching and attend regular supervision. I want to be upfront that I'm not a trauma specialist and I'm not pretending to be one. What I am is someone who's actually lived through the dysregulation, the shame and the exhaustion in my own home, with my own intense, explosive, wonderful kid.
I don't think the goal was ever to become a calmer mother. I think it's to become an alive one. Regulated enough to be present. Expressed enough to be real. Fierce enough to be exactly what my child needs, whenever he needs it. And I want that for you too.
